The Jubilee Chorale Of Orillia Ontario |

|
The Jubilee Chorale is Orillia’s Community Choir. The choir began in 1958 as a young people’s choir within the First Christian Reformed Church in Orillia. Within a year or so it evolved into a choir which encouraged other folks in the Orillia community who enjoyed singing to join. In 2008, the Jubilee Chorale celebrated its 50th anniversary. The feature picture above was taken of the Chorale on the boathouse deck at the Stephen Leacock property, for its 50th anniversary celebrations. From September to June, the choir practices weekly at St David’s Anglican-Lutheran Church on James Street in Orillia, preparing for two main annual concerts; one at Christmas time, and the other in May with guest artists participating. Throughout the year the Chorale performs for various events within the Orillia community. Always, the focus is on having fun doing our best, singing the music that we love. Our music consists of religious, light classical, Broadway show tunes, classic popular, and folk songs. |
