Brent Mayhew has been the accompanist of the Jubilee Chorale since September of 2010. In September 2016 Brent has taken on the dual responsibility of Music  Director and Accompanist of the Chorale.

Brent is very excited and looking forward to

this new challenge. Brent is a graduate of

Western University receiving a Bachelor of

Music, Honours Music Education and a

Bachelor of Education from Althouse College.

This included Choral Conducting and in

depth study of vocal production. Brent

found this area of study especially fascinating.

Brent inherited his love of music from both his

Mother and Father’s families. He fell in love

with Beethoven at an early age, listening to an

Uncle (Music Director at an Anglican Church)

play this accomplished composer. At the age

of ten, Brent began his own study of the piano

and has never looked back.

Brent still loves the Classical Composers as he includes Beethoven, Chopin, Grieg, Schubert and Mendelssohn in his recitals. He has also recorded two CDs: “Schubert Impromptus” and Mendelssohn “Songs Without Words”.

As Conductor of the Jubilee Chorale, Brent is looking forward to welcoming new members into the Chorale. All voices (Soprano, alto, tenor, bass) are invited to come out and see what the group is all about. There are no auditions; just come to St. David’s Anglican-Lutheran Church, 133 James St. on Wednesdays at 7:00pm.
