The Jubilee Chorale is Orillia’s first Community Choir.

The choir began in 1958 as a young people’s choir within the First Christian Reformed Church in Orillia. Within a year or so it evolved into a choir which encouraged other folks in the Orillia community who enjoyed singing to join. Check out the historical details by clicking on the “About Us” button.

From September to June, the choir practices weekly at St David’s Anglican-Lutheran Church on James Street in Orillia, preparing for two main annual concerts; one at Christmas time, and the other in May with guest artists participating. Throughout the year the Chorale performs for various events within the Orillia community. Always, the focus is on having fun doing our best, singing the music that we love. Our music consists of religious, light classical, Broadway show tunes, classic popular, and folk songs.

Jubilee Chorale always welcomes new members. Our director Brent Mayhew does not ask for auditions and loves to see the choir grow. We are especially in need of tenors and basses but also welcome altos and sopranos . Practices are on Wednesday evening 7:00-9:00 at St David’s Anglican-Lutheran Church, 133 James Street East, Orillia. If you would like to join us you can just come to a rehearsal or phone 705-326-8065 for more information.
